SPRING CLASS PRICES
We will be operating a 12 week term
30 minute classes (Beginner Classes, Improver Classes and Intermediate 1) – 12 weeks £90.00
45 minute classes (Intermediate 2 on a Saturday & Minisquad) – 12 weeks £114
A limited number of private lessons are additionally available at a cost of £4.50 extra per session.

Water Skills Badges
This term we are working towards Water Skills awards. Whilst continuing to improve all basic strokes we will be looking at the skills side of swimming which involves, amongst other things, different types of surface dives, flotation and timed swims. The children will be assessed as we go along rather than there being a set day. In previous years we have followed the ASA (Amateur Swimming Association) syllabus but have found this to be a little limiting with huge gaps between awards which many of our younger swimmers find difficult to accomplish. Last year we successfully trialled the STA (Swimming Teachers Association) version of the awards and found them to be more realistic and fun so we will be changing to this scheme. Pupils progress through four levels - Octopus, Goldfish, Angelfish and Shark. Within each of these levels there are three awards. For the more advanced swimmers there is a separate series consisting of three levels, Bronze, Silver and Gold. This series develops swimming technique, speed, stamina and water polo or synchronised swimming skills.
